As one of the best-known and most-loved brands in the Turkish food industry and as part of our responsibility as the industry leader towards the public, we provided support for the launch of Sabri Ülker Food Research Foundation in 2009, named after our founder, the late Sabri Ülker.
The Sabri Ülker Food Research Foundation is an independent, scientific, and non-profit institution that aims to help food, nutrition, and health information reach the public without becoming corrupted.

Balanced Nutrition Project

The Sabri Ülker Food Research Foundation launches various projects to assist our children in developing sufficient and balanced nutrition habits. The Foundation started a nutritional education project called "Balanced Nutrition" with a protocol signed in 2010 with the General Directorate of Foundational Education of the Ministry of Education as part of these efforts.

Balanced Nutrition is a project aiming to help elementary schoolchildren develop healthy nutrition habits, carried out jointly by the Sabri Ülker Food Research Foundation and the General Directorate of Foundational Education of the Ministry of Education. The fundamental aim of the Balanced Nutrition project is to instill in primary school children the habits of sufficient and balanced nutrition so that they can live long, high quality lives from both a physiological and psychological standpoint.
As one of Turkey's most comprehensive and sustainable introductory nutritional education projects, Balanced Nutrition reached a total of 1 million students and parents in 500 schools in 10 cities since its launch in 2011, Istanbul, İzmir, Trabzon, Gaziantep, Kayseri, Antalya, Sinop, Erzurum, Aydın, and Kahramanmaraş.

In addition to food research conducted in Turkey, we support research on health and nutrition on global platforms through our holding. As a company that places great importance on balanced diet, we will provide support to the Laboratory of Genetic and Complex Diseases at Harvard University's School of Public Health for a 10-year period. Yıldız Holding has made the largest donation to a global scientific institution from Turkey with its support. Through this donation, the Sabri Ülker Center, directed by internationally renowned scientist Gökhan Hotamışlıgil, Professor, M.D., supports scientific work by Turkish and foreign scientists to prevent the formation of chronic diseases in particular, as well as obesity.
